You always want what you can’t have.
You seem to almost have your hand on it and then the take it away.
It seems so close, yet so far. Ever longing for what is just outside of your grasp.
They take one look at you, one small judgment and decide; you’re not worthy.
You just can’t handle what they have to offer.
And you prove it, yet they still won’t let you;
Though the both of you know, you are far more capable then they are.
No one wants to give out free chances now days.
Everyone wants to take,
But no one is willing to give.
 

You can never see what is right before your eyes.
You may as well be blind as far as I’m concerned.
Every time you look,
It may as well have slapped you in the face.
Not like you’d notice either way.
But it if wasn’t what you were looking for,
Then you may see.
Yet you still search, for what you know, you can not have.
 

People never tell you what you need to hear.
You can’t trust anyone now days.
They say what they think you want,
And then get all apologetic if they say the wrong thing.
Nobody’s honest anymore.
They all lie, and they cheat, and they lie about their lies.
What is society turning into?
People are no longer people.
